Two monochrome pottery Chess Pieces
Persia, 12th Century

both with concave sides and two points, decorated with a turquoise glaze, one with manganese detailing
the larger 5.2 cm. high

An unusual feature of these two pieces which are knights, is the hole in either side of one, and the cross on the side of the other.
