Persia, 9th/10th Century

colourless with a greyish tinge, flaring neck cut with six facets to the upper part, horizontal shoulder and straight six-sided body with horizontal grooves and tapering in to short flaring base, the underside polished flat, mounted in gold with a beaded collar around the neck attached to a flat hexagonal lid by a short chain
8.5 cm. high
