An Iznik pottery Jug
Turkey, circa 1580

with globular body, cylindrical neck and "S"- shaped handle, decorated in raised-red, blue, green and black outline with two zones of pomegranates reserved with cintimani balls alternating with carnations, narrow borders of guilloche, lappets and dots, the handle with a ladder design and solid band either side, a palmette at the base
