Arabic manuscript on paper, 490 leaves, 10 lines of text copied in a bold large naskhi script, within red ruled borders, a double-page frontispiece, with floral and geometrical designs bearing the text of al-Fatihah, illuminated in light green and mauve, verse-endings marked with rosettes in red and green, verse-counts in the margins, sura headings in red and green thuluth script, verse-counts marked by illuminated marginal medallions, Juz titles are noted in the margins in coloured text within illuminated half circles, the first words occasionally highlighted with much larger ornamental script, a later blue binding
