Arabic manuscript on paper, 209 leaves, 21 lines to the page written in maghribi script, the name of the Prophet Muhammad picked out in gold throughout, significant words and letters picked out in red or blue, margins ruled in red and blue, catchwords in wide margins, illuminated frontispiece in colours and gold with two roundels incorporating prayers to the Prophet and the name of the author, paper slightly browned due to ink acidity, some light staining, contemporary red morocco with stamped central medallions and cornerpieces of leather onlay decorated with floral motifs on gold ground, worn with loss of small areas of leather onlay, folio 1a with two dated ownership inscriptions, repaired
