gilt brass movement, standing barrel, ruby cylinder escapement, brass escape wheel, plain brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator with compensation curb, parachute suspension on the top pivot, escapement jewelled and capped, repeating by two hammers on two gongs through push piston in the pendant, the white enamel dial with Breguet numerals, outer minute ring, secret signature below 12 o'clock, blued steel Breguet hands and single dial holding screw, round case with engine turned band and engine turned cover, case punched No.3898 and with casemaker's and French gold marks, together with fitted box by C.Sewell of Berkeley Square, 53mm.

Breguet records show that the watch was sold to a Monsieur Fréon of Saint-Denis, on the Island of Bourbon in 1825, for the sum of 1350 Francs.
