built to a scale of 1:150, hull of solid timber painted black to the waterline and red below with a white boot top, painted draft marks at bow and stern, pierced with brass portlights. Fitted with bilge keels and four, four blade brass propellers. White superstructure with portlights and windows, accomodation ladders slung out to each side. Finely detailed metal guardrails and stanchions, anchor cable and windlass, ventilators and fittings. Foremast with crow's nest, cargo derricks and winches. Open flying bridge with searchlights and binnacle, triple funnels painted in Cunard livery with foghorns, ship's boats on metal davits. Emergency steering position aft with binnacle. Mounted on brass posts in a glazed showcase. 249 x 53 x 80cm.(98 x 21 x 31.5in.)
