Footnotes

Isaac Jacobs was the proprietor of the Non-such glassworks at Bristol where it is thought that glass was both made as well as decorated. Six 'Blue and Gilt Edge Wine Coolers' were ordered by Harriet Keyser, Isaac's daughter, in a letter to the Non-such factory in 1808 and a similar example is illustrated by Witt, Weeden and Schwind, Bristol Glass, pl. 24
