His public commissions include the iconic 'Cloud Gate' in Chicago, 'Sky Mirror' at Rockefeller Centre in New York City and the 'ArcelorMittal Orbit' at the Olympic Park in London. Kapoor was the first living British artist to have a major show at the Royal Academy in London in 2009. His work has been the subject of major surveys at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney and the Kunsthalle Basel. He has created major installations for the Palace of Versailles and the Tate Modern Turbine Hall.
