Matthew Bradbury gained an Honours Degree in History of Art from Nottingham University in 1996. He joined Bonhams in 1997 and has just completed fourteen years with the company. Since joining the 20th Century British & Irish Art Department in 2002 and made Head of Department in 2004, Matthew has overseen a remarkable number of auction records, including most recently both Henry Moore and L S Lowry works on paper in November 2011.
Matthew also lectures on the post-war group of artists based in St Ives, Cornwall and is especially interested in British Impressionism and Surrealism, as well as the artists working for the War Artist's Advisory Committee.
Matthew sits on the UK Board of Directors.
