Thomas Kamm studied Art History in Munich and the doctoral programme in Salzburg. His first job in 1989 was as an editorial assistant for the art magazine Museumwelt in Baden-Baden. The following year he moved to the leading German art trade magazine Weltkunst, Munich, and was there for 15 years as an editor. His editorial focus was amongst others, ancient art (painting, sculpture), and he also oversaw the art and antiques market in Austria. Since 2005 he has worked as a deputy editor at the art newspaper Kunst und Auktionen (formerly Antiquitaeten Zeitung), Zeit Kunstverlag, Munich. As a result his network of German and European art collectors, curators, art dealers, auctioneers, art consultants and art historians is second to none.
