Megan E. A. Murphy is Specialist and Head of Sale for the Post-War & Contemporary Art Department at Bonhams New York, focusing on business development and collector relationships throughout New York and the Southeast Region, which includes procuring consignments as well as providing fair market value and replacement appraisals for various purposes. As Head of Sale, Megan oversees sales and business strategy for the department's New York auctions under the direction of Jeremy Goldsmith, Director of the Americas.

Prior to joining Bonhams in 2011, Megan lectured at Tufts University as well as collaborated on curatorial projects concerning key theoretical and philosophical facets throughout Contemporary African and Contemporary Latin American Art.

Originally from Northern California, Megan holds a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Art History from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master's of Arts degree from Tufts University in the History of Art, with specific focus on locationality within postcolonial theory. Additionally, she has worked with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Skirball Cultural Centre and Museum and Christie's Los Angeles.
