Paul Maudsley was educated at York College of Art and Derby University. He joined Bonhams in 1998 as a cataloguer for clocks and watches. In 2000 he instigated separate sales for each category, and was appointed Head of Watches. Since then Paul has transformed Bonhams' Watch Department into the UK's market leader for specialist watch auctions.
Highlights of Paul's career include setting a world auction record price for a platinum Patek Philippe Ref: 3974 at auction in May 2006, which realised a stunning £355,000, and the sale of the Haslinger Collection of Heuer Watches which raised £475,764 and set several new auction records for models.
