On display at Bonhams' inaugural Scottsdale Sale will be select cars from the outstanding collection of Briton Dr. George Daniels that are destined to be sold in England in June at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. On preview in America will be two exquisite competition cars from this collection: The ultra rare ex-Works Le Mans entry 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C Long Chassis Spider and the highly historic, unique and pride-of-England Brooklands lap record holder and 1st place finisher in the Brooklands Six Hour Race and Brooklands 500 Mile Race, 1929 Bentley 4.5 Liter Supercharged Single Seat Tim Birkin Team Car. Additional cars from the Daniels Collection that will be offered for sale in June include the ex-Earl of Craven 1907 Daimler 45hp Roi-de-Belges Tourer, the ex-Brooklands All-Comers Plate-winner 1908 Italia 100hp Dieppe Grand Prix Racer, the 1929 Bentley 4.5 Liter 4-Seat Vanden Plas Tourer, formerly the property of the Maharaja of Bhavnagar, a 1954 Bentley R-Type 4.5 Liter Continental Fastback, and a 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series II V12 Roadster.
These two important cars, the Alfa Romeo and Brooklands Bentley, can be viewed at Bonhams' highly anticipated, first-ever Scottsdale Sale at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in the heart of sunny Scottsdale (near Phoenix), Arizona, on Thursday, January 19th.
