Bonhams has announced the appointment of Sarah Shirley-Priest as their new Manager in Knowle from January 1st 2012.
Bonhams Knowle is now tasked with the key role of sourcing items for specialist auctions throughout the company's international network.
Sarah has an MA in History of Art from the University of St Andrews and is qualified as a valuer through the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. She has spent almost 20 years in the fine art auction industry, first as a general valuer and auctioneer with Phillips from 1993 to 1998. She then became an independent general valuer, and from 2006 has worked as a ceramics and glass specialist at Knowle.
Sarah says: "I am delighted with my new brief for Bonhams. The team here is now fully focused on sourcing furniture, pictures, ceramics, silver, jewelry and textiles for inclusion within specialist auctions and we are looking forward to a very successful year."
Free appraisal days are held at Bonhams Knowle every Friday by appointment and are interspersed with specialist days staffed by specialists within the Bonhams International group.
