A strong selection of Burgundy features prominently at Bonhams wine sale on Thursday 16 February, with Domaine Romanée-Conti to the fore.
There are six bottles of Romanée-Conti 1999 in an original wooden case (£70,000-90,000); 12 bottles of Romanée-Conti 1988 (£120,000-140,000); and three bottles of Romanée-Conti 1981 (£5,500-6,500 each). Six bottles of Clos de la Roche, Vieilles Vignes 2001 from Domaine Ponsot are estimated at £1,000-1,100, and a bottle of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Montrachet 1999 at £2,500-3,000.

Two bottles of Henri Bonneau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Speciale 1990 (£1,000-1,200)

Ten vintages of Dom Pérignon, dating back to 1959
The sale also offers a professionally stored private collection, including case lots of Dom Pérignon and Louis Roederer Cristal; Château Margaux 1996 (£5,500-6,500), Château Lafite Rothschild 2002 (£5,000-6,000) and 2004 (£5,500-6,500); Château d'Yquem 1996 (£1,500-1,700) and René Engel Echézeaux 2002 (£3,000-3,500). There are, additionally, six bottles of Georges Roumier Bonnes-Mares 2003 (£2,500-3,000).
