Join Bonhams for Masterpiece Month,a series of picture valuation events held throughout the UK in February and March.

With a vast wealth of experience and knowledge in Old Master, 19th Century and Modern paintings and prints, your local Bonhams specialist is extremely well placed to offer the best client service and advice if you are considering selling your picture.
With salerooms in the USA, Hong Kong, and our new flagship headquarters in London's New Bond Street, our international network of salerooms holds more sales than any of its major auction house rivals.

There has never been a better time to consider selling at auction. 2013 saw fantastic results for paintings sold by Bonhams, including £17 million for the Portrait of François-Henri, 5th duc d'Harcourt by Jean Honoré Fragonard (French, 1732-1806) sold on behalf of RAU Unicef, a world record price for the artist and the highest price for an Old Master Painting sold at auction anywhere in the world last year. Prices for Lowry continue to rise with stiff competition worldwide. Steps at Wick, consigned from Australia, sold for £890,500 and returned home to a private Scottish collector. There were also strong prices for Lucas Cranach, John Atkinson Grimshaw, Vincent van Gogh,Sir Alfred Munnings, Camille Pissarro and Irma Stern to name but a few.

Our specialists will be available in your area by appointment to offer free and confidential auction valuations. Home visits can also be arranged.

Let Bonhams discover your painting's potential.

Bonhams, founded in 1793, is one of the world's largest auctioneers of fine art and antiques. The present company was formed by the merger in November 2001 of Bonhams & Brooks and Phillips Son & Neale. In August 2002, the company acquired Butterfields, the principal firm of auctioneers on the West Coast of America. Today, Bonhams offers more sales than any of its rivals, through two major salerooms in London: New Bond Street and Knightsbridge; and a further three in the UK regions and Scotland. Sales are also held in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Carmel, New York and Connecticut in the USA; and Germany, France, Monaco, Hong Kong and Australia. Bonhams has a worldwide network of offices and regional representatives in 25 countries offering sales advice and valuation services in 60 specialist areas.
