Last seasons highlights in Hong Kong included 'Eight Exceptional Jewels from a Private Collection' which featured an exquisite 43.16 carat sapphire and diamond ring by Van Cleef & Arpels selling for US$1,560,000 (HK$12,084,000) setting a new world record price of U$36,000 per carat (HK$278,000).
Further demonstrating the strength of the Asian market with a magnificent 14.28 carat 'Light Pink' pear-shaped diamond single-stone ring selling for HK$9,844,000 (US$1,270,000) against a pre-sale estimate of HK$6,100,000 – 7,300,000 (US$787,000 – 942,000).
