The Richard C. Paine Jr. Collection
Upon Mr. Paine’s death in 2007, it was his wish that part of his collection be sold in order to perpetuate a core group of cars to continue his passions of local manufacture, technical innovation and originality.
The sale included mouthwatering selection of great American and European marques, ranging from Cadillac to Stutz, Lincoln to Packard and Mercer to Mercedes, dating from the early 1900s through the 1960s, together with a large number of motorcycles from the home market to international machines including such legends as Harley Davidson.
The vehicles were supported by an extensive collection of automobilia including books, enamel signs, car lamps, license plates, mascots and motoring accessories.
