Leading the consignments for the third annual pre-Christmas sale at Mercedes-Benz World Brooklands is a World War II Hurricane fighter aircraft. Hurricane Mk XIIa 5711 was built in Canada in 1942 and served with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Presented in traditional
"Battle of Britain" colors, it carries a pre-sale estimate of £1.4 millon - £1.7 millon.
Joining the Hurricane for this sale are a number of important motor cars, including two outstanding prewar British sports cars: a 1931 Invicta 4.5-liter S-Type Low Chassis Tourer (estimate £450,000 - £550,000) and a 1938 Jaguar SS100 3.5-liter Sports Two-Seater (£200,000 - £250,000). Other notable earlyconsignments include a 2010 Pagani Zonda F (estimate £500,000 - £600,000) and a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT (£250,000 - £300,000).
A Lot sure to generate much interest among enthusiasts is a 1935 Ford Box Van that featured in classic television series Dad's Army as Lance Cpl Jones's butcher's van (estimate £20,000 - £30,000).

Following the spectacular success of its 2011 sale at the historic automotive venue, Bonhams is delighted to announce a return to the Grand Palais in Paris in early 2013, during Rétromobile week.
Already consigned for the sale is the outstanding ex-works Bugatti Type 54 that raced at Monza on 6th September 1931 in the hands of Achille Varzi (estimate €2.5 million - €3.5 million). Another early consignment for the sale is a left hand drive 1962 one owner from new Aston Martin DB4 Vantage Convertible (estimate €350,000 - €450,000).
Offering a new dimension to the 2013 auction, the Bonhams Motoring team will combine with the 20th Century Decorative Arts and Wine departments to conduct a series of sales at the venue.
