Bonhams is delighted to be returning to the
National Motor Museum in its 45th anniversary
year for its annual Beaulieu Sale at the
International Autojumble. Last year the popular
sale attracted an international audience, and a
remarkable 94 per cent sale rate.
Highlights for 2012 so far include the
contents of The Exmoor Classic Car Museum.
The collection features more than 1,000 items of
automobilia, ten motor cars and 14 motorcycles.
Car lots include: a 1927 Bugatti Type 40 Tourer
estimated at £80,000 – 100,000, a 1974 Ferrari
246GTS Dino estimated at £100,000 – 120,000,
and a 1923 Wolseley Seven Two-Seater estimated
at £8,000 – 12,000. Motorcycle lots include
a 1956 BMW R50 Combi expected to fetch
between £7,000 and 10,000, a 1898 Phebus
Tricycle estimated at £30,000 - 35,000, and a
2009 MV F4 312R estimated at £6,500 - 8,500.
Other car lots in the sale include a 1935
Austin Newbury Tourer estimated at £25,000
- 30,000, a 1959 Jaguar XK150S estimated at
£60,000 - 80,000, and three Austin Sevens from
a discerning collector.

A number of important lots have already been
consigned for the Bonhams Goodwood Revival
Sale, which is taking place a day later than usual
on Saturday 15 September.
Leading the pack is an extraordinary
unrestored supercharged 1928 Mercedes-Benz
26/120/180 S-Type Sports Tourer by Cadogan
that has been in the same family ownership
from new (estimate upon request).
Other headline cars include the ex-Works /
Lord Selsdon & Lord Waleran 1939 Lagonda
V12 Le Mans Team Car (estimate upon
request), and a 1950 Frazer Nash Le Mans
Replica expected to fetch between £800,000 -
£1,000,000.
Following the success of the sale of the ex-
George Daniels Bentley R-Type Continental
at the Festival of Speed, Bonhams can offer
another – a one owner since 1971, 1953 R-Type
'Fastback', estimate £370,000 - £420,000.
Another Alfa Romeo 6C with excellent period
history, the ex-Irish Grand Prix Team 1929 1750
SS Four-Seater Tourer, is expected to sell for
between £500,000 - £700,000.
A unique 1954 2.5-liter Kieft-Climax Formula
1 Grand Prix single-seater is estimated to make
upwards of £200,000, the ex-Works 1964
Austrian Alpine-winning / 1965 Targa Florio
Austin-Healey 3000 MkIII rally car £180,000 -
£220,000, a 1966 AC Cobra 289 MkIII Roadster
£250,000 - £300,000, and a 1931 Invicta 4
½-liter S-Type Low-Chassis Tourer 'Bluebird'
£550,000 - £700,000.
