The front cover image chosen for this issue of Ignition is the pinnacle of an incredible collection of motor cars owned by the late Dr George Daniels. Since the announcement that Bonhams will be offering the Daniels Collections consignments for this landmark sale have been building with great momentum.

In addition to the Glasius collection detailed in a previous article, we are pleased to announce a collection of five cars offered from the family of the late Sir Antony Pilkington, including the 1970 Aston
Martin DB6 Mk 2 Vantage Volante, estimate:£350,000 – 400,000.

Bentleys feature prominently at the Festival of Speed sale this year and include a 1929 Bentley 4½-Litre Vanden Plas-style Tourer, estimate: £300,000 – 350,000; a 1938 Bentley 4¼-Litre Cabriolet, coachwork by Carrosserie Worblaufen, estimate: £160,000 – 200,000; a 1928 Bentley 4½-Litre Supercharged Tourer, estimate: £500,000 –
700,000; and two 3-Litre Bentleys. One is a 1925 Bentley 3-Litre Tourer with coachwork by J Gurney Nutting, estimate: £110,000 -130,000 - and the second is from the Gwynn Collection, a 1925 Bentley 3-Litre Speed Model Sports Two-Seater with coachwork by
Park Ward, estimate: £130,000 – 150,000.
