Bonhams Impressionist & Modern Art auctions offer paintings, sculptures, works on paper and ceramics by artists including Auguste Rodin, Pablo Picasso, Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, Marc Chagall and Pierre-Auguste Renoir, as well as works by Surrealist artists like René Magritte and Salvador Dalí, and the Italian Futurists. We hold 12 auctions a year in London, New York, Paris and online.
Our auction record results include La Fête d'Anniversaire by Foujita, a world record price for the artist, Dalí's Figura de perfil, a world record price for an early work by the artist, and Giorgio Morandi's Natura morta, the third highest price ever achieved for the artist at auction. We have achieved 100% sold rates for several distinguished single-owner collections, including the Amalia de Schulthess Collection, Walid Juffali Collection and Sir Warwick & Lady Fairfax Collection.
Each year, our highly curated themed auctions enjoy high sell-through and competitive bidding. Our themed auctions have included The Mind's Eye: Surrealist Sale, Picassomania, Abstraction-Création, Aeropittura: Italian Futurism in Flight, and The Expressionist Sale.
