The Henley Sale
Saturday 19 July
Henley on Thames

The annual Bonhams Henley sale, now in its 22nd year, has become a regular summer fixture on the banks of the river Thames. In addition to the traditional offering of rivercraft, modern and vintage fishing tackle, marine items and Thames view pictures, the sale has recently expanded to include garden statuary, model trains and steam engines.

Including amongst the many highlights:
"Belle" an impressive 75ft Victorian launch, licensed to carry 100 passengers on the river, and able to entertain 70 people for a buffet meal and up to 28 in her luxurious saloon. Estimate refer to department.

This sale will also feature a comprehensive and important group of stationary steam engines from the British Engineerium in Hove, West Sussex.

With over one hundred and fifty lots of garden furniture and sculpture and estimates ranging between £50-12,000 there is something for every garden and budget. Highlight from the one hundred and fifty lot garden furniture and sculpture section is a good early 20th century Burmese teak Pavilion or summer House, which by repute was exhibited at The British Empire Exhibition 1924-1925, estimate: £8,000-12,000.
