Bonhams is pleased to announce the Bonhams New York 2013/2014 Season Lecture Series. Timed to coincide with most major auctions held in the New York Galleries, Bonhams will be hosting relevant lectures presented by well-known and highly regarded authors and specialists in specific fields.

Silver Hallmarking: The Oldest Form of Consumer Protection:
A lecture by Mr. Jonathan Stone

An expert in the field, Mr. Stone will describe how English hallmarks have evolved from 1300 to the present day. He will also discuss fakes and forgeries, and how you can spot them. The talk will be chaired by Ellenor M. Alcorn of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
A brief reception will be held prior to the lecture, beginning at 6:15pm.
