Liverpool's award-winning Beatles Story has teamed up with Bonhams to give Liverpool's music fanatics the opportunity to view a rare piece of Beatles history ahead of the December 12 Entertainment Memorabilia auction.
This exhibition will display the leather jacket that George Harrison wore throughout the formative Beatles appearances in Hamburg and at Liverpool's Cavern Club between 1960 – 1962.
Stephanie Connell, Director of the Entertainment Memorabilia department comments, "This leather jacket is instantly recognisable and was an important part of the Beatles' image in their early years. The jacket will be the highlight of our Entertainment auction on 12th December which includes the Harrison Family collection, among over 100 items relating to The Beatles. It is a great opportunity to exhibit the piece in Liverpool, the birthplace of the Beatles.
"This important piece of music memorabilia has never previously been offered at auction and we are excited to allow visitors to the Beatles Story the chance to view such an important piece of music history."
