The recent auction of the Richard Wright Moorcroft collection was a resounding success and reaffirmed Bonhams's status as the leading auction house for 20th Century British Art Pottery. The collection, spanning over 100 years of the Moorcroft pottery output, catered for every branch of the Moorcroft market with highlights including an impressive £16,000 for this rare and unique 'Pomegranate' Exhibition Plaque; £11,000 for a large and striking Flambé Claremont vase; and £10,000 for the iconic Florian 'Yacht' vase, to name a few. Designs sold strongly across the board, with good prices achieved for the early Macintyre wares, early Cobridge designs, Walter Moorcroft designs, and designs produced in the last decade of the Twentieth Century.
