We are currently seeking an Assistant to the CEO of Bonhams UK. You will also act as the Jewellery Departments Receptionist who will be responsible for the appearance and presentation of the reception area and accurate maintenance of client information for our Jewellery Department based in New Bond Street. You will also act as Assistant to the CEO of Bonhams UK. As receptionist you will be committed to providing a first class service to existing and potential clients.
Day to day you will namely carry out general reception duties, receiving visitors, ensuring the private reception area is kept tidy and organised; booking in items for valuations, whilst effectively handling telephone enquiries, and web related queries of a non technical nature. The PA duties to the CEO will consist of but not be limited to, dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintaining confidential data and files, diary management, international travel arrangements and logging and maintaining expenses.
The role will also entail general administration and from time to time you may need to assist with the registration of clients for sales and take absentee bids.
The successful candidate will ideally have some previous experience in the jewellery industry or as a PA with proven administrative experience and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral. You must be highly organised and able to work under your own initiative as well as play a vital part of the existing team. A sound knowledge of Microsoft office and excel is essential.
