We currently have a vacancy for a Press Officer based in the Company's corporate Press Office, specifically responsible for publicizing the sales and activities of our Car, Motorcycle and Watch Departments to an international media audience.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to, acting as first point of contact for the media, identifying potential news, developing press campaigns and publicizing news to media as required. You will write pre and post-sale releases for the three departments, drafting and distributing press information about forthcoming sales and their highlights, servicing media requests for images, additional information and interviews, and collating and distributing press coverage. The role entails building and maintaining good relationships with a range of international media contacts, managing television and radio crews in facilitating interviews with Bonhams specialists and organizing media events and press lunches. There is also the need to generate and manage press interest for off-site car and bike events in other parts of the country and abroad This is a busy varied role, in a demanding and exciting environment.

You will have first class communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral, along with the ability to prioritize your workload when working under pressure towards tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a Press or Public Relations background and an interest and understanding of the Collectors' car world. The role also requires a high degree of tact, diplomacy and discretion, good organizational skills and previous experience of working within a marketing/press environment.
