We have a vacancy for a full-time Office Assistant in our Amsterdam Office.
The role covers a wide variety of tasks, providing full administrative support to staff and visiting specialists, and ensuring the smooth running of this busy office. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, general office duties, in particular handling enquiries from the public over the telephone, via email and in person and dealing with any issues arising, managing appointments, maintaining the database, organising events, ordering office supplies, caring to the office's general appearance and collaboration with the local press. You will also be overseeing the safe collection and transportation of clients' property, including arranging for artwork export licences.
You will have proven administrative ability and a flexible attitude, be computer literate, demonstrate excellent oral and written communication as well as a strong sense of confidentiality, organisational and customer service skills. You will show ability to work independently in a client focused environment. You will be fluent in English and Dutch both written and oral. An additional European language, in particular German as well as previous experience in the auctioneering world would be an advantage.
