We currently have a vacancy for a Press Officer based in the Company's corporate Press Office, specifically responsible for publicising the sales and activities of our Car Department, to an international media audience.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to, acting as first point of contact for the media, identifying potential news, developing press campaigns and publicising news to media as required. You will write pre and post-sale releases for the Car department, drafting and distributing press information such as forthcoming press highlights. The role will also entail fostering and maintaining good relationships with a range of media contacts, managing television and radio crews in facilitating interviews with Specialists and organising media events and press lunches. This is a busy varied role, in a demanding and exciting environment.
You will have first class communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral, along with the ability to prioritise your workload when working under pressure towards tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have an interest and understanding of the Collectors' car world, with knowledge/ experience of working within the classical car industry being advantageous. The role also requires a high degree of tact, diplomacy and discretion, good organisational skills and previous experience of working within a marketing/ press environment.
