The Bonhams Motoring Group compromises various divisions, departments and offices in North America, Continental Europe and UK. A strategy is in place to further develop the Group, necessitating the need for a co-ordinator in the team. As co-ordinator you be working closely with the Group Head on objectives to harmonise the division; assisting with implementation of strategies in order to free up the Group Head of business development.
Day to day you will namely carry out general secretarial duties for the Group Head, receiving visitors, as well as research and develop the Bonhams' Motoring client database and provide support and rapport to key client clients. Your duties will also include, but not be limited to, managing the top end hospitality at auction for our Steering Wheel Club; coordinating invitations for clients to events/lunches/receptions; assisting with the organisation and scheduling of pre auction selling meetings and post sale debriefs.
You will act as liaison in collating the divisional marketing and advertising schedules into a cohesive global system, communicate to the various divisions in the Motoring Group and work collaboratively with the Group Head to overhaul and implement the International Grade A catalogue list.
The Motoring Department holds over 20 auctions per year worldwide, with the majority of which take place on a Saturday or Sunday, therefore willingness to travel and work weekends is essential to the role, as you will need to attend most motor auctions.
The successful candidate will ideally have some previous experience in the motoring industry with proven co-ordinator/administrative experience and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral. You must be highly organised and able to work under your own initiative as well as play a vital part of the existing team. A sound knowledge of Microsoft office is essential. Languages would be advantageous to the role.
