We currently have an opportunity for a Porter to work on a 3 day per week basis, in our Oxford saleroom.
With excellent customer service and organisation skills, you will work to facilitate all aspects of our busy sales schedule. Duties will include, but not be limited to, the set up and presentation of the sale room for viewing days and sales, ensuring the security of items coming into and leaving the premises, and safeguarding their condition at all times, liaising on deliveries and collections, assisting with unloading of vans, and the safe movement of goods within the saleroom in accordance with company policy.
This physically demanding role requires enthusiasm, a flexible approach, the ability to problem-solve, and to work as part of a team within our busy auction schedule. You will be required to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team. An interest in antiques is advantageous but not essential.
