We are currently looking for a Junior Saleroom and Collections Assistant to fulfill both portering and collection duties in our New Bond Street saleroom. This is an entry-level role into the Auction industry and plays a key part in facilitating our busy sales schedule.
Your Saleroom Assistant responsibilities will include but not be limited to: moving goods within the building and ensuring that all lots are properly located at all times, preparing and monitoring the saleroom during public viewings and efficiently running the saleroom throughout the viewing and auction, ensuring all the necessary equipment is available.
Your Collections Assistant responsibilities will include but not be limited to: providing an efficient and professional service to all customers, suppliers and colleagues. care and control of goods awaiting collection or transferral and liaising with the Saleroom Manager. You will be required to work closely with the Shipping Department and liaise with cashiers, customer services, credit control and specialist departments.
This physically demanding role requires enthusiasm, a flexible and creative approach as well as excellent client service skills to work with various departments and as part of the team within our saleroom. You will have a proven administrative ability, excellent communication skills and will be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft office packages. Ideal candidates will have aspirations to be in this industry and some knowledge of arts and antiques. This position may require you to occasionally work hours outside of your standard working pattern, you should be willing to work overtime as and when required.
