We are currently looking for a Saleroom Assistant to fulfil both portering and technician duties in our Knightsbridge saleroom. This is an entry-level role into the Auction industry and plays a key part in facilitating our busy sales schedule. Based in the galleries you will liaise closely with all specialist departments in the preparation and disassembling of sales.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: moving goods within the building and ensuring that all lots are properly located at all times, preparing and monitoring the saleroom during public viewings and efficiently running the saleroom throughout the viewing and auction, ensuring all the necessary equipment is available.
This physically demanding role requires enthusiasm, a flexible and creative approach as well as excellent client service skills to work with various departments and as part of the team within our saleroom. Ideal candidates will have aspirations to be in this industry and some knowledge of arts and antiques.
