Wine and Whisky
Bonhams Wine and Whisky sales feature fine and rare as well as affordable wines, with dedicated auctions of whisky.
Bonhams International Wine Department is headed by Richard Harvey, Master of Wine, with Anthony Barne, also a Master of Wine, as head of wine in UK. Richard, Anthony and Harriet Joll, senior specialist in London, have accumulated almost 100 years of wine trade experience, most of it in the auction business. Specialists are also based in Hong Kong, New York, San Francisco as well as London.
Bonhams is the only International Auction House to hold regular sales of collectable whiskies. These are handled by Martin Green who has over 25 years experience in this field.
Wines for sale are mostly held in our own temperature controlled warehouses in London and San Francisco whilst stock in New York and Hong Kong is also stored under temperature control at Western Carriers and Crown Cellars. Whiskies, although less susceptible to atmospheric change, are also stored in special conditions.
