Minimum Commission
The Vendor's Commission is subject to a
minimum commission per lot of:
– £60 for New Bond Street sales
- £30 for Knightsbridge sales
– £20 for UK regional sales
Loss and Damage Warranty
1.5% of the Hammer Price of each lot if sold, or if unsold 1.5% of the average
of the high and the low estimates.
Unsold Charges
£5 per lot.
Illustration Charges
(includes web illustration charge)
Full page: £200 3/4 page: £150 1/2 page: £100
1/4 page: £80
Thereafter, and when an item is part of a multiple, £20 to £50.
Web illustration Charge
A £5 charge will only be applicable when an item is not illustrated in the printed
catalogue.
VAT
Value Added Tax, at the current rate, is payable on all commissions and charges,
unless otherwise stated.
Additional Charges
There may be additional charges for restoration, shipping, packing, storage, customs
duties and import tax, if appropriate.
Payment
Payment will be made to the seller 21 days from the date of the sale.
Conditions
All sales are subject to the Terms and Conditions of Business as stated on the
Receipt / Contract Form and the Conditions of Business folder.
Advertising
All normal costs of advertising and promotion are borne by Bonhams. If either
the customer or Bonhams feel the need for additional advertising, a specific plan
will be devised, costed and discussed with the customer.

Rates apply to single lots
The rate varies in the following sale categories:

Cars and automobilia | 15% on the first £30,000 of the hammer price |

Coins and stamps | 17.5% on the first £30,000 of the hammer price |

Wine | 15% on the hammer price

Where Cars, Automobilia, Coins, Stamps or Wine are offered as part of a general or themed sale, Bonhams standard rate of Buyer's Premium will apply.
VAT
Value Added Tax, at the current rate, is payable on all premiums and charges
There are some instances where different VAT rates are chargeable on the Hammer Price. These Lots are clearly marked in each sale catalogue
Additional Charges
There may be additional charges for shipping, packing and storage, if appropriate.

Please be aware that the premium payable by the buyer is calculated at 16% on the first CHF 150,000 of each lot plus 11% on the excess ( inclusive of TVA at 7.6%)
