A James Dean life mask by Kenneth Kendall, circa 1950s-1960s
One of the plaster masks made from the actor's face while he was still alive, though this one was likely created by Kendall from the original mold after Dean's death; painted in tones to simulate realistic skin, eyes, eyebrows, lips, and hair; a prop cigarette is affixed to the mouth; displayed on a stand in a clear lucite box. Also included are five postcards signed by Kenneth Kendall. Mask: 10 x 7 x 3in; Display Box: 16 x 11 x 11in
