The Fine Books and Manuscripts Department, with specialists on both the East and West coasts, are leaders in the auctions of collectible printed and manuscript material. We hold four general auctions a year - two simulcast between Los Angeles and San Francisco, as well as two in our New York offices.
Our auctions feature early printed material, maps & travel literature, natural history, art & illustration, fine bindings & fine press, literature, Americana, world history, and the 20th century. We also hold specialty or single-owner auctions when appropriate.
