The Asian Art Department of Bonhams and Butterfields provides
one of the worlds most successful auction venues for selling Chinese, Japanese,

Samurai Arms & Armor Dating Back to 11th Century Goes to Bonhams New York Auction Block
Timed to coincide with the opening of the "Art of the Samurai" exhibition at New York's MET, the sale will include swords, armor, helmets, and other related objects- some dating as far back as the early 11th Century.

The Bluette H. Kirchhoff Collection of Netsuke and Sagemono drew global attention to Bonhams' New York galleries.
The collection was presented as the first of two sales; the second being Fine Japanese Works of Art. With nearly 400 lots auctioned throughout the course of the day, bidders were offered several exciting collecting opportunities.
