Bonhams & Butterflields brings to the market four auctions of Fine Antique Oriental Carpets and Rugs per year. The department offers a vast selection from the finest Mohtasham Kashan carpets of central Persia to bold Turkish Oushak carpets and the avidly sought after tribal weavings of the Caucasus. Our specialist auctions attract interior designers, rug enthusiasts and private buyers from around the globe. To also maximize our audience, each auction is simulcast between our San Francisco and Los Angeles salerooms.
In addition to our quarterly auctions, we host monthly estate auctions, called SoMa Estate sales in San Francisco and Sunset Estate sales in LA, offering decorative and desirable rugs and carpets at moderate price points.
