 Interesting
and unusual wine labels are as popular as ever with collectors, particularly
those by desireable makers. Heraldic labels together with those displaying
interesting spellings and titles always have great appeal and generate a
lot of interest.
Bonhams Silver Department have close associations with a number of international
collectors and specialist societies always keen to purchase quality examples.
We also have vast experience in bringing important collections to auction,
past sales have included the collection of the late John Beecroft, one of
the founding members of the Wine Label Circle and also the Sandeman collection.
To complement the strong collection of wine labels we also try to concentrate all wine related items together within our sales. These sections often include; claret jugs, decanters, coasters, wine funnels, grape scissors and cocktail shakers.
