Our auctions usually consist of approximately 50 carefully selected pianos
ranging from uprights to the most ornate grands. We accept good quality
pianos such as Steinways, Bechsteins and Bluthners in either good original
condition or ones that have been rebuilt. Amongst the most prominent pianos
sold have been an inlaid and gilt mounted Bechstein grand owned by the Mountbatten
family for £20,700 and the Steinway grand No 1225 - the first art case grand
to be made by Steinway - for £56,000. Chris Rea, Dave Stewart and Jools
Holland have chosen to sell their pianos through Bonhams. More recently
Bonhams have sold James Blunt's old piano on which he wrote his top selling
song "You're Beautiful".
As an additional service we have negotiated very competitive rates throughout
the UK with our preferred carriers G&R Removals, starting from £90 for an
upright piano and £125 for a grand piano.
