A unique 'Aquarium' cigarette box,
rectangular form, engraved and painted Perspex body and cover, with wood lined interior, the hinged cover depicting a birds eye view of a garden pond, with lily pads, flowers, buds and plant life in shades of green, pink, yellow and black, with a central silver and pink fish appearing from the water, each side panel depicting a side view of the pond with fish in silver and pink, above brown, cream and black rocks, swimming between plant life in green and yellow, height 6.4cm, length 18.5cm, width 10.6cm.

Footnote:
This lot was made as a gift to Mrs Bennetts father. A similar piece, together with a pair of lighters, was commissioned by Sir Bernard and Lady Docker to present to Sir Winston Churchill. The design for Churchill's box can probably be found in lot 688 and the finished article can still be seen at Chartwell.
