An art deco sapphire and diamond clip brooch, circa 1935
The stylised and sculptural initial 'J', pavé-set throughout with old brilliant-cut diamonds and accented with a trefoil of baguette-cut diamonds, terminating with five oval-cut sapphires and a bombé cluster of circular-cut sapphires, diamonds approximately 7.25 carats total, length 5.0cm.

Included in the sale catalogue was a photograph, by Phillip Ollerenshaw, of Elton John wearing this clip during filming of the video for 'I don't wanna go on with you like that'. A copy of this photograph accompanies this lot.
