Footnote:
Astronomical compendia are a group of scientific dialling instruments that consists of several parts and performs a number of different functions. They usually include at least one sundial, a nocturnal, a lunar volvelle and a table of cities and their latitudes. Most compendia consist of two or three leaves and due to the fact that they are relatively complicated, normally well engraved and early in date, they highly sought after by collectors.
