Modern Sporting Gun Department at Bonhams has grown significantly in recent
years to become one of the leaders in this specialist field of sporting
gun auctions. Our specialists have expertise gained over a number of years
and this, combined with the highest standards of approachability and discretion,
confirms our place as market leaders.
We hold three auction sales a year of sporting guns, rifles and related firearms. The auctions comprise English and Continental side-lock, box-lock and over-and-under shotguns, double rifles, bolt-action rifles, and pistols. A variety of accessories including gun cases, cartridge magazines, cartridge boards, books and some sporting-taxidermy are also included in these sporting guns auctions.

Bonhams Sale of Antique Arms, Armour and Modern Sporting Guns Goes With a Bang
An extensive group of antique arms, armour and modern sporting guns fetched over £740,000 when it went under the hammer at Bonhams yesterday, with 83% of items sold by lot and by value. The atmosphere at the sale was explosive as a host of international collectors and dealers competed for the lots on offer.
