The market for Greek art is exceptionally strong at present. If you want to take advantage of this market, now is an excellent time to consign. Particularly sought after are works by artists such as Georgios Jakobides, Nicholaos Gysis, Theofilos, Théodore Jacques Ralli, Periclès Pantazis, Constantinos Volanakis, Jean Altamura, Constantinos Parthenos, Constantinos Maleas, Alecos Fassianos and Yiannis Moralis.

Bonhams two Greek sales held in 2009 were highly successful and established 17 new world records in May and 16 in November for Greek pictures. The auctions made £3.6m and £3.5m, respectively, which gives Bonhams market dominance in the UK over all other auction houses selling Greek Art.
