Bonhams European Glass department is one of the largest of the international auction houses selling antique glass and paperweights. We are market leaders in English and European glass including Irish, Venetian and Bohemian and the only saleroom to hold dedicated auctions of glass from 1450 to 1920. Our experts travel throughout Europe and America and in our specialised auctions achieve top prices for Venetian, Dutch, German, French, Spanish and British glass and paperweights.

Press Release

Strong Results in the December Auction

The sale of Fine British and European Glass and Paperweights on 16 December saw a high selling rate, especially for English 18th century drinking glasses and Dutch engraved glass and early Venetian pieces. The Chris Crabtree Collection saw an almost 100% take-up. Prices exceeded expectations for many of these lots underlining the current strength of the glass market.
