The sale will consist of the very best in English cabinet making from the early walnut period of the late 17th century through to the high quality precision craftsmanship and marquetry of the late Victorian period.

We have had tremendous success in the past few years and to illustrate this, we offered the Peter Bracewell Collection, which was formed of lots by the cabinet-making firms of Gillow and Holland & Sons. This achieved some extraordinary prices and illustrates the importance of provenance and research in the current market.

We are always keen to offer items that are by known firms or designers and enjoy the challenge of researching pieces that are fresh to the market and have yet to be attributed. Significant provenance and family history are of interest to our buyers and can transform pieces from the ordinary into the extraordinary.
